Sport Science taster: talent identification, talent development and your career
Why do some promising young athletes fulfil their potential while others struggle to progress?
How can coaches, parents, and sporting organisations create environments that help talent flourish? Join Dr Gavin Lawrence at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ to explore how physical, psychological, and social factors interact to shape development, and why the way athletes practise and experience challenge matters. Drawing on research in cricket and Olympic weightlifting, together with that undertaken in partnership with UK Sport, this session will be relevant to those interested in coaching, talent development, sport science, or sport psychology.
