A Linguistics degree focuses on how language is learned, processed and used. At Bangor, you'll study topics such as language acquisition, multilingualism, psycholinguistics and examine the effect that society, culture and norms have on language.
An English Language degree focuses specifically on the English language, including how it has evolved over time, the role of English in society, and how writers and speakers use language to communicate ideas, influence audiences and create meaning.
